The Harmonized ELSA End of Life is a streamlined collection of variables derived from the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing (ELSA) End-of-life Interviews. Using the Harmonized HRS End of Life as a model, Harmonized ELSA End of Life defines variables as identically as possible with the Harmonized HRS End of Life to allow users to compare variables with all other Harmonized data sets. Documentation for each variable in Harmonized ELSA End of Life, including a description of its creation, the ELSA variables used, and descriptive statistics, is detailed in the Harmonized ELSA End of Life codebook.
